Oxford Achilles Relays:
A group from the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Forms competed with encouraging results. The Under 19 squad of Perkins, Palmer, Raslan, Richmond, Gyandoh, Smith and Burke finished fifth in their heat of the 4 x 100m before running 1 minute 38.5seconds to qualify for the final of the 4 x 200m where they ran even faster to finish fifth in 1 minute 37.2 seconds.
The Under 17 squad of Woodward-Gentle, Murphy, Parker , Odling, Kim, Smith and Chawla finished fifth in their 4×100m heat in 47.7 seconds, sixth in their heat of the 4 x 200m 1 minute 43.9 seconds and tenth in the final of the 4 x 800m final in 10 minutes 17.3 seconds.
The Under 15 squad of Lane, Rodzianko, Amin, Hutchinson, Lafferty, Dunn and Amin won their heat of the 4 x 100m in a time of 49.6 seconds before finishing fifth in the final in 48.7 seconds. They were then fourth in their heat of the 4 x 200m heat in 1 minute 48 seconds. The squad of Chapman, Lewis-Clare, Turnbull and Benstead finished tenth out of sixteen teams in the final of the 4 x 800m with a time of 10 minutes 19.2 seconds.
Richmond Schools’ Championships:
Hampton School were second in the overall Championships. The First Years were equal first in their age group; the Second Years finished third, the Third Years convincingly won their age group while the combined Fourth and Fifth Year teams finished second in their age group.
Winners were:
First Year: Jim Philipson (100m), Ethan Ijaz (1500m), Harry Simmons (Javelin), James Parrot (Long Jump)
Second Year: Laurence Dunn (100m & LJ)
Third Year: Alex Rodzianko (100m & High Jump), Matt Lane (200m & Long Jump), Joe Battle (400m), 4 x 100m squad.
Fourth/Fifth Year: Alex Wood (Shot) and Freddie Woodward-Gentle (Javelin).
Middlesex Schools’ Championships
Pride of place went to Freddie Woodward-Gentle who won the U17 Javelin with a new school record of 43.90 metres. Sang-Woo Kim competed in the Triple Jump to reach 11.90metres for 6th place, while Alex Rodzianko (5.30metres – 4th) and Matt Lane (4.85metres – 7th) also jumped well in the U 17 age group.

Javelin: Freddie Woodward-Gentle 46.30metres
