Hampton Film Making Club

Contact: Angus MacDonald / Aidan Kershaw

The Film Making Club was created in 2004 to provide an opportunity for the boys to shoot, edit and produce their own films. We were lucky enough to obtain some funds from the bursary and the HSPA which allowed us to purchase camera equipment and a computer on which to edit. Since then, we have been busy documenting much of what goes on in the School and making films about a range of topics. Some of these you can see below.

We shoot film using a Panasonic AG-DVX100 and we edit using a Apple G5 Powermac. The boys learn to use Final Cut Studio to edit their films and then burn them to DVD. The Film Making Club comprises of a small and relatively stable membership but is always open to new members with an interest in film making. We hope to continue to add to the extra curricular richness of the School, to provide boys with highly relevant creative skills as well as continue serving as documenters of School life in general.
