Scholarships

The Department annually awards a number of Scholarships and Exhibitions to musicians entering the School at both 11+ and 13+. At least two full Scholarships are available, and more may be awarded if the field is exceptionally strong. There is also a Choral Scholarship available at 11+ for a pupil who wishes to sing in the Choir of the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace. Applicants are often already members of the Choir. Both Music Scholars and Choral Scholars are expected to play a full part in the musical life of the School throughout their School career, and many have gone on to study Music in Higher Education.

The Department expects real commitment from its Scholars, and in return, is committed to providing the best musical education it can.
