The Careers office is located in the Alexander Centre. We aim to help pupils:

• to recognise their own strengths - interests, values, aptitudes and aspirations

• to be aware of the education, training and careers opportunities open to them

• to make choices about their own future education and career paths

Education is a progressive programme which provides a means of developing individuals' knowledge, understanding and experience of opportunities in education, training and employment and the skills necessary to make informed decisions.

careers talkGuidance provides a means of helping individuals to apply relevant knowledge, understanding and skills to their own particular circumstances when choices have to be made.

The Careers programme includes internal interviews with individual pupils at key decision-making times. Advice and guidance is offered from careers staff and external professionals along with a work experience placement. Extensive information is also available to all pupils in the Careers Room.
