Hampton joins forces with two other local schools to stage a sell-out production of the popular play.
After months of intense rehearsals 60 children from Hampton School, Waldegrave Girls School and Crane Park Primary School staged a stunning production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in Hampton School's 450 Hall.
It is the first time children from the three schools have performed together and the collaboration worked exceptionally well.
The children ranged in age from 9 - 14 years and relished the opportunity to take part in a large scale musical in a professional theatre venue.
The actors were accompanied by a 20 strong choir and an orchestra of eleven musicians from Hampton School.
Staff from the three schools also worked closely together, rehearsing the actors, orchestra and choir. Head of Drama at Hampton School and the show's Director, Miss Victoria Buse said :
“ The cast and musicians were extremely talented and the show was a sell out each night. I am sure there will be more opportunities in the future where we will be able to combine the talents of students from schools in Richmond.”
Headteacher at Waldegrave School, Mrs Philippa Nunn agrees:
'The production has been a wonderful opportunity for our students and we are grateful to everyone who has worked so hard to make this project such a success.'
