Hampton U15's win ISFA Semi-Final
19/01/2012

After a closely fought match Hampton clinches victory in the U15 Investec ISFA semi-final with a last minute goal

Hampton travelled to Trinity School, Croydon yesterday knowing they faced a tough game.

The team showed tremendous determination in the face of physically powerful opponents who placed them under fierce pressure.

It was in the final third of the game Hampton's passing football came to the fore and they began to get on top.

This Hampton team is becoming renowned for going to the wire and so it proved in their match against Trinity.

Just as extra-time looked inevitable, Tom Phillipson latched onto a ball played behind the Trinity defence and slipped it past the goalkeeper.  The drama was not over as, straight from the restart, the ball was played forward and once again a shot hit the Hampton crossbar - but luck was with the Hampton team on this occasion who are now through to the final at Burton Albion FC on Thursday 8 March.
